Back in the ’90s, Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee had one of the most high-profile celebrity marriages thanks in part to their groundbreaking sex tape. They got married 96 hours after their first date and on their honeymoon made the infamous tape. They had two sons before the marriage fell apart when Tommy Lee was sent to jail following a physical altercation with Pam. For any fans of the couple you'll be happy to know Hulu is set to make a limited release series that chronicles their turbulent love story.

On February 26, 1998, a lawsuit against Oprah Winfrey was dismissed in a Texas courtroom. A group of cattle ranchers sued the talk show queen after saying on her show that she wouldn't eat a hamburger because of fears over mad cow disease. Following Oprah's comment beef prices dropped dramatically in the U.S. so the ranchers took her to court. At the end of a 6 week trial the jury dismissed the suit.

On February 24, 1995, U.S. diver Greg Louganis revealed in an interview with Barbra Walters that he had AIDS, and that he knew he was HIV positive when he hit his head on the diving board and bled into the pool at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. A doctor stitched his wound poolside without using latex gloves and then incredibly Louganis went on to win the gold medal in the event. Today Louganis is healthy and fit at the age of 61. In 2016 he was finally featured on the Wheaties box after fans petitioned for the honor. Louganis believes he was overlooked in the 80s because he is gay.

On Feb 23, 1999, Eminem crash landed onto the rap scene with the release of his major label debut, The Slim Shady LP. The album which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 was certified platinum within two months and created a superstar who would become rap's most infamous bogeyman. The album was buoyed by the MTV-born smash single “My Name Is.” which introduced the world to the rappers alter ego Slim Shady.
